Tooling Vendor Uses Arena-flow

Winona Pattern & Mold Licenses Arena-flow
Winona Pattern & Mold becomes the first North American tooling vendor to utilize the Arena-flow Sand Core Engineering Technology in-house.
Winona Pattern & Mold, with facilities in Winona, Minnesota and Franksville, Wisconsin, is now using the Arena-flow Sand Core Engineering Technology to help design and validate their sand core tooling.
"This represents a significant shift in thinking about sand casting," said Peter Blaser, a Senior Engineer with Arena-flow, LLC. "Since the castings are ultimately produced, we've always been concerned about simulating and optimizing them. But the quality of a sand casting will never exceed the quality of the cores and molds used to produce it... and to make high quality cores and molds, you absolutely need high quality tooling. While the automotive OEMs are starting to mandate core filling and curing simulation with all new tooling, Winona Pattern & Mold, in my opinion, is leading the pack since they're utilizing the latest technology before it becomes a requirement."
Perrin Rondeau, CEO of Winona Pattern & Mold says, "In today's market, our customers not only want fast turn-around, they demand high quality tooling that's right the first time. That's why we utilize the proven Arena-flow technology to design and validate our sand core tooling."
Foundries are encouraged to use tooling vendors who perform sand core filling and curing simulation. Click here to visit the Winona Pattern & Mold web site. Click here to download our announcement, as published in Modern Casting Magazine.
